Motorola Edge 70 Pro Launching on April 22: Massive Battery and 5200-Nit Screen
Motorola is officially launching its new flagship killer, the Edge 70 Pro, in India on April 22. If you want a phone with a massive 6500mAh battery, crazy bright display, and great cameras, this is one you need to look out for.

After dropping multiple teasers online, Motorola has finally confirmed the India launch date for its next premium device. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will officially debut on April 22. It brings some serious upgrades over last year's model, fixing the biggest complaint people had with Moto phones: battery life.
Let's break down all the confirmed specifications before the phone officially goes on sale.
A Massive Jump in Battery Life In the past, Motorola focused too much on making their phones thin, which resulted in average battery life. That changes with the Edge 70 Pro. The company packed a massive 6,500mAh battery inside this device. You can easily expect over a day and a half of heavy usage. When it does run out, the phone supports fast 90W charging to fill it back up quickly.
One of the Brightest Screens Available
Motorola displays are always good, but this one is taking things to another level. The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a sharp 1.5K resolution.
If you play fast-paced games, you will love the 144Hz refresh rate. However, the craziest number here is the brightness. Motorola claims the display can hit a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. You will have absolutely no problem reading texts or watching videos under direct, harsh sunlight.
Cooling and Performance for Gamers
Under the hood, the Edge 70 Pro runs on the new MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor. It is paired with up to 12GB of super-fast LPDDR5X RAM. To make sure the phone does not heat up and drop frame rates during heavy gaming sessions, Motorola included a huge 4,600 mm² vapor cooling chamber right behind the screen.
50MP Sony Cameras
The camera setup is just as strong as the processor. The back of the phone holds three sensors, led by a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 710 main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for blur-free night shots. Right next to it is a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a special multispectral sensor to help with accurate colors. If you take a lot of selfies, there is a sharp 50MP camera on the front as well.
Designs, Software, and Extras
As usual, Motorola partnered with Pantone for the colors. You can get the phone in three distinct finishes: Pantone Lily White, Pantone Tea, and Pantone Titan.
For durability, the front uses Gorilla Glass 7i, and the phone carries official IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it fully waterproof and dustproof. It will run on Android 16 right out of the box, and Motorola promises 3 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will be available to buy on Flipkart and offline retail stores right after the April 22 launch.
TecHoper's Take Motorola is finally listening to what people actually want. Giving us a 6500mAh battery while keeping that clean Moto design is a huge win. The Dimensity 8500 Extreme combined with the massive vapor cooling chamber means this phone will easily handle heavy games like BGMI without heating up. Plus, they fixed their old software update issue by promising 3 years of Android updates. If Motorola prices this aggressively on Flipkart, it will easily steal a lot of sales from OnePlus and Poco this year.
