After weeks of leaks pointing to its existence, Vivo has now made it official: the X300 E is coming, and it's coming soon. The company has confirmed the phone will go on sale in China on July 27, adding another member to its growing X300 lineup alongside the X300, X300 Pro, and X300 FE.

Pre-orders are already live through Vivo's official online store in China, giving buyers a head start ahead of the actual sale date. Vivo has also revealed the phone's design and color lineup, with the X300 E available in Black, Orange, and White.

Design-wise, the X300 E carries a square camera module on the back, housing a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup that includes a periscope telephoto lens — continuing Vivo's ongoing camera partnership with Zeiss that's defined the rest of the X300 series. Vivo has confirmed one other headline spec directly: a 7,200mAh battery, a notably large capacity that puts the X300 E ahead of several of its own siblings in the series on pure battery size.

Beyond design, color options, and battery capacity, Vivo hasn't officially detailed the rest of the phone's specifications yet. That said, prior leaks have filled in a fairly complete picture of what to expect. The X300 E is rumored to use a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, paired with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Camera specifications leaked so far point to a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The phone is also rumored to support 90W wired fast charging and weigh around 203 grams.

None of Vivo's official messaging so far has touched on pricing, which will likely come closer to or on the July 27 launch date itself.

Techoper's Take

A 7,200mAh battery is a genuinely large number for a phone in this size class, and Vivo choosing to confirm that spec specifically, ahead of chipset or display details, suggests it's meant to be the X300 E's main selling point. Slotting a new "E" variant into an already fairly crowded X300 lineup — which now spans the standard X300, X300 Pro, and X300 FE — also signals Vivo is comfortable segmenting this series more finely than most competitors, betting that battery-focused buyers and camera-focused buyers within the same price bracket want genuinely different trade-offs rather than one compromise device. Whether the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and camera specs hold up once Vivo confirms everything on July 27 will determine how this stacks up against the standard X300, which already offers a stronger MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset at a similar price.
