OPPO has quietly rounded out its K15 lineup with a third model, and this one leans on battery size and cooling hardware rather than chasing flagship-tier performance.
The OPPO K15 has launched in China, joining the OPPO K15 Pro and K15 Pro+, which debuted earlier this year. Unlike its Pro siblings, the standard K15 is positioned as a more affordable model, built around endurance and marketing-friendly extras rather than top-tier silicon.
Display and Chipset
The phone features a 6.59-inch 1.5K (2760 x 1256) LTPS flat display supplied by Tianma, with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling, and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. Powering it is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super chipset (4nm, up to 2.5GHz) paired with an ARM Mali-G615 GPU, a clear step down from the Dimensity 8500 Super used in the K15 Pro series. The single available configuration comes with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, running ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
A Cooling Fan That Outpaces Its Own Chipset
One of the more unusual details here is that OPPO has carried over the K15 Pro's built-in active cooling fan and vapour chamber system, covering a 4,950mm² heat dissipation area, despite the Dimensity 7360 Super not being a particularly thermally demanding chip. OPPO claims the fan has been tested for a five-year lifespan. Practically speaking, this reads more as inherited branding from the Pro lineup than a genuine necessity on a mid-range chipset, though it does keep the phone's gaming-adjacent styling consistent across the K15 family.
Battery and Charging
The K15 packs an 8,000mAh battery, branded internally as OPPO's "Glacier" battery, paired with 80W wired fast charging and a dedicated Glacier battery energy-management chip. It also supports bypass charging, which routes power directly to the phone during gaming sessions rather than continuously cycling through the battery, reducing heat buildup during extended use.
Cameras
For photography, the K15 uses a 50MP main camera (f/1.8, OIS, autofocus) alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 143° field of view), with a 50MP front camera (f/2.0, autofocus) for selfies and video calls. All three sensors support up to 4K/30fps video recording.
Build and Durability
The phone carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and has reportedly passed eight military-standard environmental tests. It measures 158.3 x 75.13 x 8.31mm and weighs around 205-206g, with a metal middle frame. Connectivity includes 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and multi-constellation positioning support (BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC).
Pricing and Availability
The OPPO K15 is priced at CNY 2,299, roughly $339 or Rs 32,790, for its sole 12GB+256GB configuration. It's currently on sale in China through OPPO's official online store, in two colour options reported variously as Gale Grey/Rapid White or Fast White/Windy Ash across different regional listings. OPPO hasn't confirmed any launch plans for markets outside China, including India, so availability elsewhere remains unconfirmed.
