OnePlus has been steadily drip-feeding details about the N6x ahead of its official launch on July 31, and the company has now confirmed one of the more important specifications buyers were waiting on: battery capacity.

A Smaller Battery Than the N6, But Still a Big One

OnePlus has confirmed the N6x will house a 7,000mAh battery. That's 1,000mAh smaller than the standard N6, which suggests OnePlus is positioning the N6x as a slightly trimmed-down variant within the N-series rather than a straightforward upgrade. OnePlus had previously teased the phone could deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge, without disclosing the actual capacity behind that claim until now.
What OnePlus and Amazon Are Claiming

A promotional page set up by Amazon.in details specific battery life figures tied to the 7,000mAh cell. According to the listing, a full charge is claimed to provide up to 20.56 hours of video playback, 133.56 hours of music playback, 25.04 hours of social media scrolling, or 11.26 hours of continuous video recording.
These figures come from OnePlus's own test lab results rather than independent third-party testing, and both companies note that real-world battery life will vary depending on network conditions, usage habits, and device age, so actual day-to-day performance may differ from these lab figures.
What's Still Unknown
Neither OnePlus nor Amazon.in has disclosed the N6x's charging speed at this stage. For context, the standard N6 supports 45W wired charging, and it's reasonable to expect the N6x to match or come close to that figure, though this remains unconfirmed until OnePlus makes an official statement.
Colors and Launch Timing
OnePlus has confirmed two color options for the N6x: Burgundy Red and Ice Blue. With the launch set for July 31 at 12 PM, additional specifications, including chipset, display, camera, and pricing details, are expected to surface in the days leading up to the announcement.
For reference, the standard OnePlus N6 currently starts at ₹22,999 for the 4GB RAM, 128GB storage variant, with the 6GB RAM option priced at ₹24,999, giving an early sense of where the N-series typically positions itself on price.
