Nubia Neo 5 Pro Launched with Physical Gaming Triggers and a Huge Battery

Gaming phones are usually very expensive, but Nubia is trying to change that. They just launched the new Nubia Neo 5 Pro, and it brings some really cool gaming hardware for a very low price. Here is everything you need to know.

If you like playing games on your phone but have a tight budget, you should pay attention to this new release. Nubia has officially launched the Neo 5 Pro in the Philippines. Instead of just giving it a "gaming" design, the company actually added hardware features that make playing games much easier and more fun.

Let's look at the specs and see what makes this phone special.

Built for Gamers (Physical Triggers and Cooling)

The coolest thing about this phone is the shoulder triggers. You get physical buttons on the side of the phone, just like a gaming controller. This makes shooting games much easier because you do not have to rely only on the touchscreen.

Nubia also added a large cooling system inside. This prevents the phone from getting hot when you play for hours. It even features a special touch system that works perfectly even if your fingers get sweaty while playing.

Big Screen and Fast Processor On the front, it has a large 6.8-inch OLED screen. It supports a fast 144Hz refresh rate, which means everything looks incredibly smooth when you scroll or play fast-paced games.

For speed, it uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip along with 12GB of RAM. You also get up to 256GB of storage. This processor is more than enough to run heavy games smoothly on medium to high settings without annoying lag. It runs on MyOS 16, which is based on the new Android 16.

Massive Battery and Cameras

Gaming drains the battery very fast, so Nubia packed a huge 6,210mAh battery inside this device. When it finally runs out of charge, you can use the 80W fast charger to fill it back up quickly so you can get back to your game.

For photos, you get a 50MP main camera on the back along with a basic 2MP secondary lens. There is a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Since it is a gaming phone, the cameras are pretty basic, but they get the job done.

Price and Availability Right now, the phone is only available in the Philippines, but we expect it to launch in other regions soon. It comes in two colors: Black and White.

  • The base model (12GB RAM + 128GB storage) costs PHP 14,999 (around $250).

  • The top model (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) costs PHP 17,999 (around $300).

TecHoper's Take Bringing actual physical gaming triggers and a 144Hz OLED screen to a phone that costs just $250 is a very smart move. Most phones in this price range only give you a standard screen and skip the extra gaming hardware. If Nubia launches this phone globally or in India soon at a similar price, it will be a massive hit among young budget gamers.
