Motorola Edge 70 Pro First Look: Leaked Renders Show 3 Premium Colors

Motorola is getting ready to launch the next smartphone in its premium Edge series. Fresh leaked renders show off the new Edge 70 Pro with some really interesting textures and a massive battery. Here is everything we know so far.

Motorola is working hard to expand its premium phone lineup this year. We already have a lot of information about the upcoming Razr folding phones, but the Edge series was kept mostly a secret. That changes today.

We now have the very first leaked renders of the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro, giving us a clear look at its design, colors, and the unique materials Motorola is using this time around.

Three Unique Textures and Colors Instead of just putting regular glass on the back, Motorola is playing with different materials. The leaked renders show the phone in three very distinct styles:

Pantone Titan (Blue): This isn't just a flat blue color. It comes with a tailored-fabric finish that feels almost like nylon.

Pantone Zinfandel (Maroon): If you like a darker, more professional look, this maroon option features a smooth, brushed matte finish.

  • Wooden-Textured Variant: Motorola is bringing back the classic wood look. The exact name of this color isn't known yet, but it looks a lot like a premium walnut wood finish.

Curved Screen and a Massive Battery The front of the Edge 70 Pro looks just as good as the back. The leaks suggest it will feature a quad-curved display. This means the screen curves slightly on all four sides, making the bezels look incredibly thin. The corners are also more rounded to make the phone easier to hold.

For the buttons, the right side has your standard volume and power keys, while the left side features a dedicated AI key.

But the biggest upgrade is actually hidden inside the phone. According to recent certification leaks from Brazil's Anatel, the Edge 70 Pro will pack a massive 6,500mAh battery. Even with a battery that big, it supports 90W fast charging, so you won't be stuck near a wall outlet for very long. Other features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and NFC.

"Seize the Night" Camera setup Motorola is clearly focusing on low-light photography this year. The company is reportedly using the tagline "Seize the Night" to market the Edge 70 Pro.

Looking at the back of the phone, the design is very similar to the recently launched Edge 70 Fusion. The camera module features a bigger flashlight to help in dark environments. It will also use a high-end Sony Lytia camera sensor and include Super Zoom support for getting clear shots from a distance.

TecHoper's Take When our team looked at these new renders, the wood-textured finish really stood out. It is great to see brands moving away from simple glass backs and trying different materials like fabric and wood again.

The most impressive part of this leak, however, is the battery. Putting a 6,500mAh battery into a slim, curved phone is a huge deal. If Motorola prices this right and the new Sony camera actually performs well in the dark, the Edge 70 Pro could easily become one of the best premium phones to buy this year. We will keep you updated as soon as an official launch date is announced.
